I’ve never been more proud to be Canadian. First, it is not “Illegal” to download movies. Then it is legal to share music because we pay a tax on each piece of digital media. Now, a television network, who I would not have thought would do it, are distributing one of it’s tv shows via bittorrent.

Could this be the first of it’s kind of a huge broadcasting company realizing the great power of bittorrent and the large amount of people it can reach.

They have decided to release their TV show called “Canada’s Next Great Prime Minister” through bittorrent. CBC has gained much of my respect back for them! Way to go CBC. I hope others will follow suit. Too bad all the other broadcasting companies are more interested in making money off ads to pay their huge salaries, rather than actually make the TV shows for the viewers who actually keep them in business.
